Doctors of Chiropractic are portal of entry providers, so patients can be seen without a referral from another doctor to get a treating diagnosis and begin care.

You can see a traditional doctor for a prescription (and risk any number of unpleasant side effects), a chiropractor, or a physical therapist. After this, they may refer to themselves as a doctor of chiropractic (D.C.). Does it matter who treats it?
